How We Work

From Your First Question to the Finished Project

A clear, straightforward process keeps your project on track. Here's what to expect when you work with Paint the Town — from the first conversation to the completed work.

1

Initial Project Conversation

Tell us about your project by phone or through the online quote form. The more detail you share — rooms or surfaces involved, your goals, and your timeline — the better we can understand what you need.

2

Assessment or Site Visit

Where appropriate, we review the surfaces and conditions in person. Seeing the space helps identify what preparation is actually required before any coating goes on.

3

Written Scope & Exclusions

You receive a proposed scope that spells out what is included — and what is not. A clear estimate prevents surprises and lets you compare options confidently.

4

Color & Finish Decisions

We discuss colors, sheens, and product choices suited to each surface and room. Finish selection affects both appearance and how the surface wears over time.

5

Scheduling & Access

We agree on scheduling and any access needs. Exterior work depends on weather, so timing is planned around conditions that allow coatings to perform properly.

6

Property Protection

Floors, furniture, and surrounding areas are protected before work begins. Protecting your home is a standard part of the process, not an afterthought.

7

Agreed Preparation

The preparation we agreed on — cleaning, patching, sanding, caulking, priming where needed — is completed so the surface is ready for a quality finish.

8

Coating or Service Execution

The agreed coating system is applied carefully and consistently. Work proceeds according to the scope, with attention to detail at every step.

9

Cleanup & Completion Review

Tape and coverings are removed, tools are cleaned, and furniture is returned. We review the finished work together so you understand what was done.

How Changes Are Handled

Home improvement projects don't always go exactly as planned. If work uncovers something unexpected — hidden damage, a surface that needs more preparation, or a scope change you'd like to make — that change is discussed and agreed on before any additional work proceeds. You'll know what's involved and what it means for the project before moving forward.

This policy is presented for owner approval and may be refined during your estimate.
